Baia Seafood Restaurant

skip Overall impression : Every time we long for delicious seafood we remember Baia . We fell in love with Baia , which means "bay," on our first visit. We were hungry, dusty and tired from traveling. When we asked for a seafood dinner recommendation, the first restaurant our hotel concierge mentioned was Baia . After a discreet glance at our safari outfits and tired looks, she volunteered more informal options.

After some meandering, we arrived at Baia prepared to be turned down for looking undesirably informal and having no reservations. They immediately welcomed us at nonsmoking table with a charming Waterfront view. Though it was near the kitchen doors, we were thrilled to have a four-seat table for two of us. A short while later we realized the restaurant was full. Our servers could not have been nicer, more patient or more helpful. Our meal was so fabulous we returned the following night, our last evening in Cape Town .
